Does adding an Archangel kit to a Ruger 10/22 improve anything?

I am now finding out that there are tactical kits for the Ruger 10/22. Specifically the Archangel kit...does it increase the gun's shooting range? Does it add noise to the gun?

It makes your wallet lighter. That's about it.

Kits like the archangel are for appearance only (pistol grip is different in that it would improve ergonomics). If ya wanna improve accuracy or functionality, start with Volquartzen(sp?).

Gobs of aftermarket barrels available, along with trigger assemblies, from a multitude of manufacturers.

i picked up a 10/22 recently as well.
1st mod will probably be to lighten up the trigger pull.
i also heard/read it may be good to change something about the extractor to avoid FTE
def on my list is to get a scope...but that means doing add'l research on rings or something and a base or something...GREAT, more reading

I have never experienced a FTE or FTF. 20+yrs, 4-10/22s. Love'em.

The scope bases are easy to put on. There are 2 choices for scope bases ... one is for rimfire dovetail about 11mm wide. The other is the picatinny rails which are the same ones on top of the AR rifles, they are about 20mm wide. Buy your scope rings accordingly.

EDIT: The Archangel kit just looks cool. I like the one I put on my dad's rifle.

My buddy's kid's 10/22 is always jamming on Federal.
No problem with anything else.

Really? Sounds like you have some really sweet rifles. I've never had an FTF, but I get FTEs all the time.

I have the Target 10/22 with a Volquartsen barrel. I'm no fan of the ArchAngel, too much plastic for me. But a friend put a Volquartsen barrel & brake on the thing and it is accurate as heck, has a Timney trigger in it too.

If I were going to get the kit I'd add one of these for the barrel.
