Is the CMMG upper so new that I cannot find any reviews? Anyone, anyone, cricket sounds...

My TacSol had failure to fires initially. Changed out the notched RRA NM trigger w/ a rounded DPMS FCG, gave the chamber a good cleaning, and all's good now. Very accurate, too.

My buddy has the Spikes, and it was what made me decide on getting a dedicated .22lr upper. Also of great quality. The TS was on sale at the time, however, so that's what I ended up with.

BTW, I tried the aforementioned JP springs when I got my failures, and it actually made things worse. Switched back, and all's good now. YMMV.

Spikes parts, I built the upper from scratch and love it!

The Nordic Components upper looks interesting. For $350 the CMMG upper is worth looking into. There are some reviews of the CMMG upper at AR15.com

I think I'll wait to see what others think about both. I jumped on the Umarex/Colt M4 .22 when they first came out, but I should have waited a couple of months and saved some money.

I have the original WASP CMMG 22 upper and it is very picky regarding ammo.

Out of the 7 different brands of 22 ammo, the CMMG upper feed and eject only 2 brands (Federal 40g lighting varients).

However, CMMG has some interesting new 22 upper products coming:

What the heck, we change almost everyother part, why not this one too? The new patent pending CMMG .22Evolution jag/take-down guide rod and frame will be available oncertain models of kits. Our one pi
