I found a Stevens "Visible Loader" in the back of an old hanger. It was laying up against the wall behind a pile of old airplane tires. The guy gave it to me for helping with the cleanup. I should have taken the money. I have never shot a full tube without a failure of some kind. When I looked it up online, I found more results for "miserable loader" than the real name. But its a piece of history, and I wouldn't trade it for the world. it looks good now hanging on the wall. Maybe a project gun one day.Making good people helpless doesn't make bad people harmless

However, there might be a long running tradition with this rifle. What if, as each new finder gives up on it, they leave it somewhere for someone else to find? Kind of a cruel joke, passing the headache along to the next guy. Maybe it's your turn to leave it somewhere to be "found".

I've heard those Umarex M4's are junk. The real bad news is that they will be manufacturing the new HK 22's that are slated to replace/take over the GSG series of 22's. Umarex is primarily known as an airsoft manufacturer. Please correct me if I'm wrong. I got my info from Retting's in Culver City. They've had to send back so many Umarex M4's that they won't carry them anymore.Take an ANTI shooting. They might enjoy themselves!!Comment

The worst .22LR gun I have ever bought was the Walther P22 pistol. I bought it to teach some girls how to shoot, figure it's small size might fit their hands better. Unfortunately, nobody likes to shoot it.
After owning that I have an idea of what a pot metal gun is.Comment

Marlin 22. Would keep jamming.Originally posted by jumbopandaAre we talking taking the tip off every time or just hitting it somewhere along the shaft? The latter is not that impressive. Not saying it's easy, but I'm sure many people could do it. I could probably do it myself at least 50% of the time.Comment

Not the worst
I bought a Umarex 22LR for my son because he liked the M4 style so much. He's only had it for a couple of months and has put at least 2000 rounds thru it with a rare misfire or bad ejection. It does have its flaws. They cut many corners when they manufactured it. The S&W model looks far worse, quality wise. I think the Walther G22 or Sig 522 would have been a much better rifle but he wanted a his Carbine. It is better to die on your feet than to live on your knees!- Emiliano Zapata SalazarComment
