    Your Worst .22 Ever?

Mine is my Rem Viper 522

Good god, ugly as sin, worst trigger ever, 100% plastic, mags are junk and cost $100 if you can find one

Decently accurate once you figure out where the trigger breaks, which is at about 15 pounds w/ an inch of travel

If anyone knows how to improve the trigger on one o these, i'll name my baby after you

Taurus PT22 doesn't feed well with any ammo, often doesn't fire. It will eject if it does fire.

I bought it (well) used, so it may have been messed with. I need to sent it back to Taurus and see if they can fix it.

Sad to say, the only 22 that hasnt worked for me is my Spikes ST-22 upper (one of the early ones when they first came out) The thing just constantly FTE and stovepipes, or just doesnt feed that great. I have about 10 different mags, and have used other peoples ceiner mags/BDM so its not a mag issue. I sent it back to spikes because I got word from them that they had a bad batch of defected bolts get released around the time I purchased mine. So I sent the upper to them and they did some "warranty work", but still shot the same when I got it back. Ive messed with the recoil spring and cut it down in case it was too tight and tryed all sorta of ammo, but it still jams up all the time. Kinda stumped. It started to work a lil better last time I was out, but then the trigger pin broke. Cant catch a break

my worst .22lr was more about expectations than the gun itself. i'd long had a 4" Colt Diamondback which easily rivaled my 6" S&W M-17 (K-22). Colt introduced the 6" .22lr Diamondback and i got all excited.

the 6" Diamondback was a huge disappointment. it wasn't any more accurate, it was now nose heavy and the front sight was too short to pick up quickly. i was lucky to sell it for a slight profit

Magtech 7022 rifle. Cost me $89 new a few years ago. Complete POS, never feeds right, garbage mags, and the worst sights ever. I cracked up when I saw someone in the for sale section selling one for $250! LOL I wouldn't pay 20 bucks for one.

Smith and Wesson 15-22. epic fail. it couldn't get through a magazine without an FTE, FTF, or OOB. that is until I shipped it back and they did their magic.

X2. Bought one on sale at Turner's for $75 bucks. No matter what type of ammo I feed it it would jam every other round, mags were crap, once you take it apart there were ton's of plastic parts in there. I finally got fed up with it and surrendered it to the local PD.

I've seen some cheap guns work just fine, this one never did.

At least I got good at clearing jams.

I have to say my cheap Phoenix HP-22 is perfectly reliable.

I can't say that at all for the more expensive Beretta 21A which I sold.
Never again a gun without a manual extractor, prying the stuck empties out of the chamber with my pocket knife every 5-10 shots got real old real quick.

MOSSBERG 352 KB, not the gun but firing pin!

I have a older mossber 352KB. The issue I have had made this the worst 22LR I have ever delt with. It was a handed down LR, and when i got it, I started tearing it down, cleaning it and learning about it. Oddly enough the firing pin seemd to have some COPPER, welded onto it.. odd... I looked into switching this out and it did work fine with it. but wanted to run the rifle properly.
i looked into obtaining a firing pin to replace the home brew repaired on.

Havlin was the only place I could find who claimed to have this.
I ordered one, pin was way off. i tried to see the difference some thickness, width and hook section were all off. ordered another and sent back orignal pin.
Their customer service was nice and had a great attitude, but 2nd pin comes in and guess what ITS THE SAME. So I don't know if they had a outdated drawing of the firing pin, or My rifle is pre a update. well a few fine files later and adjustments to the pin it self I got it to fit. took it to the range and FAIL 2 shots later my rifle goes into FULL AUTO for the rest of the magazine!!..
figuring that would be the pin broken again, I tear down the rifle again, and after some newbies on the firing line pissing them selves because I am looking down the barrel through the breach of my own rifle, Which by that time I had already pulled about 15 feet back from the line, and removed the bolt, firing pin, barrel from the stock and removed the magazine. To look luckly no damage internally BUT the pin shattered like GLASS!!!..

Called Havlin again and spoke with them, they stated there was a oops by the person who tempers the metal for them, I guess he got side tracked and or loss track of timing, and they were in to long or to short! but the entire batch ended up BRITTLE !! like peanut brittle!..

Its my only 22, and here it sits in the cabinet 3 years later unfired in 3 years. because I do not have a firing pin for it. and it must have either been rough on firing pins or a common breaking problem. Not sure which. I do know it will do HV LR rounds, and I used standard. So still not sure, thought about ordering another one from Havlin, but afraid will end up with another that i need to file and adjust to fit, to only have it shatter after a few rounds!
