    Case Ejection Problems

I have a Mossberg 26B made in the late 1930s or40s. Took it to the range yesterday and it did not eject spent casings smoothly. Some ejected and some were stuck. Anyone have similar issues and how did you solve the problem?

    Thanks, in advance.

My guess would be a good deep cleaning, as the bolt, chamber, extractor all may be gummed up. Check your extractor to make sure its not broken or chipped. If your rifle is clean then try different ammo, as ammo makes a big diffenerce on how a rifle cycles.

I did a deep cleaning yesterday after coming home from the range. Took the bolt apart, disassembled the trigger, etc. etc. ....everything looks good. I hope to go shoot again next week. We'll see if there is an improvement. I'm shooting PMC rimfire LR Zapper. I noticed that some of the rounds had a hard time loading. Could be the bullet. Thanks for the help!

Was it cleaned recently prior to shooting? make sure you use standard or subsonic velocity ammo .no hyper velocity ammo.

I had cleaned it before I put in storage. Took it out, ran a patch of solvent through it and then dry patches before going to the range.
