      The stock and scope arrived.
The Blackhawk Knoxx Axiom stock is very light. After getting it, its just not my cup of tea. I ordered a Hogue Over-Molded stock from Cheaper Than Dirt.

If anyone is interested in the Blackhawk Knoxx Axiom stock, its a difficult stock to get in CA, if your interested send me an IM.

Only if you choose to make it one. I will get stoned for this, but the only thing I have on my 10/22 that did not come with it from the factory is a $40 scope

Where did you get the UTG Low Profile Bipod from? And was the UTG extended mag release easy to install?

I picked up everything except the barrel from Cheaper Than Dirt. The barrel came from Shooters Discount.

The magazine release was easy to install with a little help from Ruger22.com, this site has detailed step by step how's. Check it out.

So I order the UTG extended mag release and the bipod. Was the bipod easy to install? I'm assuming you used the swivel install? Did all the parts come with it? Sorry for all the questions, first time ever upgrading anything on any firearm with the exception of pistol grips.

The installation should take you less than 2 minutes. You just need basic tools like a screw driver, and an Allen wrench I think

Now lose the 2 ton barrel and get yourself a WhistlePig aluminum barrel. You won't be sorry.

I went with the graphite barrel and it is very light. Mid 3lb range (the whole gun) with out the scope, mid 4lb range with it. It is still lighter than a standard 10/22 with no optics.

Report of first trip to the range-
Took about 15rds to get the scope centered and another 20 rds to really zero it in. I shot 400 rds of Remington, 200 rds of Winchester, and 100 rds of CCI. I've found I get much tighter groups and better consistency using CCI and Winchester. At 50 yards I shot 1" groups, not the MOA I was hoping for, but not bad for the first trip out. looking for tighter groups next time.
Sure the barrel weights a ton, but it groups very tight and pop cans and squirrels don’t stand a chance.

I am on the hunt for a lighter trigger and hammer.

you can to your own trigger/hammer job for free. look it up on rimfirecentral.com it's easy and if you feel like you still want a trigger job after that....then go out and spend the money. I still have the stock trigger and I still manage to pull 50 yard groups of less than a half inch. Sometimes I even get lucky and get just over a quarter inch on a 3 shot group...but that is rare. However, I know that the gun is already capable of more than I am. I still need more practice. Put in the range time and those groups will tighten up buddy!

Not true. As someone who has disassembled and reassembled quite a few, may I remind you, the trigger is a small problem, but ever done the safety? That's a bugger. I made my own tool to do it. If you have never done one, treat yourself.
