i looked at a 4.5" ruger and compared it to the 5.5". i imagine the 4" to be more of a 'snub'-type and prefer the 5.5". while speaking to the sales, he indicated barrel length is personal preference on .22s

I got the 5.5 inch for the extended sight radius and extra barrel weight myself. Here's the pics I got that I forgot to post last night:

I think I just may go to the range and use it today

I'll be honest with you - before the volq extractor, it would work with any high velocity round. IE - the good stuff in terms of 22lr. The bulk 550/500 bricks of 22 ammo was hit and miss. Maybe one FTE every 3 magazines or so.

After the volq extractor, it eats anything and spits it out. It puts me at a del taco drive through to shame.

Now please keep in mind that this is just me, that was just my pistol, and others have no problems at all. But those that do have problems, that volq extractor seems to be the cureall. Not a bad little part for I think 15 bucks and about 2 hours of my time for installation.

$ 249.97 OTD, I just paid for mine, Turners Redondo Beach. Warehouse stock, so I guess mine is reserved until they get the serial #'s and I have to go back and do the DROS, then wait the 10 days.

Yup was at Turner's Norwalk right when they opened. The system is not allowing them to allocate guns to purchases for whatever reason so they are haveing to physically get each serial # verified off the guns in the wharehouse and go form that point. One drawback is that they are haveing to allocate a set # of guns per store. So if you call one store and they say they are out, it might just be that location. You should check more than one, you could get lucky. Ed

Turner's computers were freezing this morning; guessing due to the overwhelming response to this sale. i got a call back 2 hrs later they had secured my s/n. my salesman was very nice and friendly and told me he'd do his best to get my s/n today.

i started looking at the m&p 15-22, uh oh hehehehehehehe

                          countdown to 5/17

mines an old school 22/45, my favorite gun to shoot. All stock internally and it eats Remington and federal like tic-tacs
