rifle question?

I believe that I read not to use lead ammo, but to use copper or copper coated .22lr ammo so as to ease in cleaning the rifle. I do have a friend who shoots and has for a while to kind of show me the ropes as far as cleaning and good shooting practices....

Doesnt really make difference but if I had to guess I would think the copper would foul up more.

associated fees are taxes and DROSing. The DROS fee i think is $35. U willl need to buy ammo and cleaning kit and a case to carry the thing. For cleaning I use breakfree clp and remmington oil at the range. for cleaning you can use a regular rod and patch or get a .22 caliber bore snake (is use the snake). Ammo is whatever is cheap.

Rifles cheaper but remember the ammo prices. Plus you can use shorts, cbs, subsonics and load them single shot.

Taxes on new purchases plus dros fee. PPT private party transfers only dros fee and usually cheaper than retail.

i use lead and copper and some stuff made in mexico and that box that floated over from Japan and what i buy in Walmart. I would say with a 22lr you get a fudge factor, enjoy it.

Cool thanks, One more quick question. The tapco kit on rugers website says no sales to CA, Is there a reason it is not legal? And if the tapco kit is not CA legal then is the Archangel kit?

that would just be Ruger not being up to speed on CA law. The tapco 10/22 kit is legal for use in CA, and so is the Archangel kit.
