Hmmm ... I'm not sure what their limit is like where you are. Here, it is 6 boxes of any one caliber per visit. If they are always well stocked, that's 600 rounds of CCI (for instance) each trip ... or maybe almost 2k rounds of that 333 round Federal value pack, or over 3k rounds of that 525 Remington value pack.

Other than the fact that you didn't get what you wanted when you wanted it, is this a genuine problem? It seems that the worst case scenario is that you come back tomorrow (or later same day) and pick up another 600 to 3000 rounds or so. It doesn't seem that it would take you more than a few days of minimal effort to stock up to 10k rounds, and much more if you are so inclined.

I can't get to my house without passing WM. But I don't buy crap from the store! Just ammo!

Walmart is doing a good thing. I saw guys (before the limit) pick up the entire stock and take it to their gun shop to sell at 2x the price. I know beause I know those guys at the other gun shop. So, yes, their doing everyone a favor by limiting.

So far this year alone I've only picked up 4 bricks of 333. Thats very low in my opinon. And those were usually the last ones on the shielf.

Just thank Walmart or go to the other gunshop that bought the same ammo from walmart and buy it at 2x the price. Same ammo, but Im sure their not limiting to 6 boxes.

Crap loads of 40S&W here in the central valley... quite a bit of .22LR but absolutely no 45ACP & 9mm. Their prices frankly suck on the pistol ammo anyway. I take a trip to NV whenever I feel like stocking up. Last time I bought 7.62x51 for example it cost me $220 for 500 rounds of MATCH GRADE Black Hills... needless to say that has me very happy that it's now at least double that.

I think 6 boxes (What my local WM allows) is more than enough to keep someone in ammo for a couple months. Unless you're shooting pistol comps and then you should be reloading anyway.

Our walmart will limit certain people, and I like it... let me explain

There are 2 local gunshop owners who go to our walmart and buy as much handgun ammo as they can. Then they mark it up and sell it in their stores!
If walmart doesn't have any and you need it, you will have to go to their gunshops and buy it for the marked up price.
Luckily the guys that work in the walmart ammo section know who these guys are, and the limit them to 6 boxes. That way other ppl can actually get some when they have it.

The Walmart I went to today the guy sold me a brick of CCI Stingers (10/50) and CCI Mini Mags (5/100) Maybe I got lucky since he was unloading the cases and I saved him from putting it on the shelf. He kept asking "anything else you need" So I kept buying, till I couldn't carry anymore more on my Ducati.

                    What I bought today!
