The only thing I have reservations on is I read that mag changes are not that easy. How time consuming is a mag change compared to a typical ar/ak insta-swap?

Dont forget that you can legally "find" a "normal capacity" mag and then you would legally own it. So if you were to find a gsg normal capacity mag you are good to go and use it

50 AND 100 round 9mm- saw anothe calgunners M950 Calico at the range
          100 round mag

i think the highest cap .22LR rifle commercially available is the American 180- but you'd have to block off that circular feed mag to 10 (so sad) to have it be legal here.

Its a rimfire... you can use any sized mags you had before 2000

they also have an AR15 mag adapter which allows you to run an AM180 magazine with a cienner conversion.

I don't understand why ruger or walther didnt ever build their 22lr pistols to take double stack mags. That woulda been cool to have a little pistol like a p-22 with a 20 or 30 round mag...I gotta say though, my favorite, most fun gun is a 10-22 with a 50rd ramline mag.

Wow, I have to disagree with two things. First, the highest capacity .22lr comercially available would be a toss up between a Lake City 1919 and a Vindicator. Both are belt fed and capable of accepting belts in any length.

Next, it is perfectly legal to own 180 round drums here. There is absolutly no reason to block any legally owned mag off to 10 rounds unless you are installing it in a fixed mag build. You can not import, sell, offer for sale or manufacture new +10 round mags in California anymore but, again, it is not illegal to own them.

How about a geniune gatling gun in .22 cal?
Because this is hand-cranked, I believe this isn't classified as a machine gun. But it is very high priced and out of my price range.

Here is a link to the manufacturer which sells plans, kits, and finished versions: http://www.gatlingguns.net/index.htm

Has anyone ever seen one of these?

I've thinking about buying the American 180 (in first video) from my local dealer. It's not FA but a trigger activator would make it a fun gun. I'm torn between that one and the beltfed AR.22 kits.
