17s are wicked! I shot my 93fv savage for the first time this week and what they say is true clovers and 1/4 inch at 50yds!And I'll be the first to admit I'm no shooter.I have Mueller apt for glass and I think I could made due with somethig cheaper this thing shoots sooooo flat!

my brother has a savage .17hmr and he can hit earplugs from 100+ meters all day long. i'm in the market for a savage .17 myself.....they are fun as hell to shoot!sigpic

I just wish that someone sold primed .17 HMR cases and bullets separtely! Imagine what kind of accuracy we could get out of these rigs if we could roll our own ammo instead of trying to find what our rifles like and hoping for a consistant batch!!

I just got 10 boxes of Hornady 17 gr 17 HMR from an online supply house and total cost for the 10 boxes plus shipping was slightly less than $115. That sure beats Walmarts $12.99 + sales tax price.
Probably have to get more. I have another 17 HMR on the way, due Friday, and I need to stock up on ammo for it.Comment
