    Custom shops for 10/22?

    Hi all,

Searched around a bit, thought i might start a thread.

I am looking to pick up a ruger 10/22 and customize it. New barrel, trigger assebly, receiver, etc.

I know volquartsen is supposed to be really good. Wondering what else is out there that is good to look into.

    Thanks in advance!

For 10/22's, rimfirecentral.com is your best friend.

I don't know about Bay Area shops, but online you might consider Gunkings and Rimfire Sports & Custom. Both are GTG.

I don't know of any bay area locations, I think many of us go online to purchase 10/22 parts.

I put a www.hornetproducts.com trigger on my first 10/22 built from the ground up. It is a reworked ruger trigger but works really well. Total cost out the door was about $95 shipped.

Yes, VQ and Kidd sell awesome triggers too, but the cost 2-3 times more. I guess it all depends on your willingness to spend dollars and of course use.

You may want to look into magnum research. They have accessories, but they sell custom rifles as well. I really would die for the magnum lite 10/22.

Turners had them for $500 on sale a month or two ago.
