ATF letter on GSG5?
Do any experienced Calgunners know anything about this? Real or false internet rumor? I also saw this on another website, but you have to be a member to view the forums.

You have got to be kidding me.We had an ATF audit this week and they made us pull all of our GSG carbines. They said they ATF is calling the fake can on the carbine a real one. The first batches had solid cans with a hole for the barrel while the new ones are hollow tubes. They said a letter from the TECH branch will be out soon but since they were there for the audit they gave us a heads up early....THANKS

They said we can pull the cans and sell without them on there if we wantsigpic

Doesn't make any sense. The ATF should know what defines a suppressor... I don't think an empty tube (whether it looks like a suppressor or not) does not a suppressor make. IIRC River City still had their GSG's displayed, and they are very liability cautious. I call FUD on this.Comment
