What is the most accurate "tacitcool" .22 made?

What out of the box shoots the tightest groups at 50/100 yards with match ammo?

All in one system? Or just dressed up AR upper? If AR upper, have to say spike's tactical dedicated .22 upper with Lothar Barrel Upgrade.

I own a spike's .22, standard 16" inch upper. With wolf ammo, at 50 yards with a so-so red dot + magnifier, about 3/4 to 1 inch groups. If I had better scope with duplex cross hairs, maybe 1/2 moa.

Of the dedicated new .22LR's, from what I've seen, my vote is for the Colt/Umarex. Gunblast.com got 1/4" groups with match ammo at 50yds. I shot mine at 55yds today for the first time, and got an 1-1/2" 5 rd group - using an electronic sight without a magnifier, sitting in a lawn chair. I know the gun is capable, I just need some more practice and I think I can do quite a bit better.

            Were they one shot groups?

I get that kind of accuracy at 50 yds occasionally - With my BRNO Mod 4, a 20x Leupold, $10/box ammo on a calm day when my fortune cookie says very favorable things about me.

A toy rimfire rifle isn't going to do 1/2 MOA unless you're talking 50 inches, not yards...

The most accurate: The guy with the best trigger finger. Most all these guns are on equal ground and only accurate as the shooter.

Dude you are talking about a toy gun, that shoots .22.

If you want accurate, get a rifle that isn't dressed up to be something it's not.

My marlin 795 could shoot better than a 'tacticool' .22.

OR you could get the 10/22 "tactical" that comes with a picatinny rail, a synthetic stock, a bipod, and I think a heavy barrel....since it's 'tactical' it's probably the most accurate of the genre.

I'm just reporting what I saw on Gunblast.com. The results are there for the S&W and the SR-22, also. The Colt/Umarex has a tensioned match grade barrel - that probably helps some. The OP didn't specify not to include the so called "toy" guns.

Really? Would you say the same of "most all" bolt action rimfires too?

Maybe it's just me, but I've found that minor details like the quality of the barrel, trigger, sights, stock, construction, etc. seem to make a difference in how accurately any type of gun shoots.

                        Okay, I hear you.

However, has Gunblast ever reviewed a gun they didn't like? I can't remember any. Also, they must really have some crackshots over there because they always seem to get better groups than the average guy with the same guns.

                        Just sayin'...

Gunblast sounds like they enjoy the free guns they get to test and do not want that to stop.

I had tested for motorcycle magazines and out of the 3 of them I worked with only 1 was the real deal and gave good close to accurate info.

The aftermarket and OEM companies fed them a bunch of free stuff and sometimes even money to get favorable reviews.

I NEVER believe what I see on sites like that or even in magazine because I have seen really how it is...

What's toy about them? God you guys should have been around when the AR came out- Mattel made them!!! That's all you heard back then. If you don't want an answer to a question to be from a specific group- THEN SAY SO UP FRONT.....You naysayers (at least 98%) are operating on rumor anyway. A group of parrots parroting anything you hear to BASH in a thread. These so-called ''tactical .22's'' shoot extremely well and the quality is superb. I'm not relying on a F'N .22 for anything other than pure shooting enjoyment. A SHTF gun needs to be something realistic, and anyone who is not an idiot can see the difference. It really gets tiring reading the same crap over and over from you internet ''senior'' experts. Thanks for screwing up the thread.....

Less talk. more pics of shot groups!

I was thinking about buying a GSG-5 or 552 but if they can't shoot as good as my 10/22 or Marlin 60, then forget it. I'd really like to get the SR22 because it takes my Ruger Hi-Caps, but it's freakin fugly beyond belief.
