Is it true about GSG 5??????

I heard somewhere on this board that it was the importer who got sued not GSG. GSG will still be making and selling the GSG-5, just not to the USA.

Parts will still be available and all warranties will still be honored.

Again I dunno for sure but this is what I read a while back. I certainly hope its true though since I own a nice Gen2 GSG-5.

I suspect GSG will come out with a slightly different version of the same gun shortly. Gun manufacturers have a lot of practice at changing model numbers and cranking out "new" guns.

So will GSG be making mags, replacement parts, etc for when stuff breaks? I just put one on layaway and I'm still thinking about changing to something else.
Suggestions?

Don't worry about it. ATI will stand behind they're product. I had a bad mag that was failing to lock the bolt back, I sent it to ATI and they sent me a twin pack.

I was talking to my dealer who I bought my GSG5 from, he said some of this is true. Yes the case was settled but ATI will continue to make the rifles but sounded like maybe a different name. I just picked up my SD version but haven't had a chance to shoot it yet. He was at a dealer event and saw the new company that has the license agreement and said they looked like crap. At any rate GSG5's can still be found pretty easily.
