Ruger SR22 Red Dot?

It's a Harris bi-pod. The SR-22 comes with a sling stud. I added a 2nd stud a little behind the one it came with and put the bi-pod on the front one.- Jeff

I have pretty much decided I would order a Primary Arm's M3 clone. But
I bought a cheap Barska red dot scope at Big 5 so I could shoot my SR22 that I picked up today. I am not familar with red dot scopes and found the closest this Barska can be sighted in is about 4" high.
It did kind of cross my mind some red dots would not be able to compensate for the higher mounting point of the scope on this type of rifle.
If anyone understands what I'm trying to explain, how do red dot scopes in general deal with the higher mounting point one the rifle? Is there more adjustment in elevation? I know this is a bone headed question, feel free to rub it in.Comment

Yep, I bought one too. At first I could not get it to zeroed in on my SR22.
I took apart the rheostat, removed a washer and piece of plastic that looked unnesessary. Right now it is dead balls on at about 60 yards.
For being such a cheap sight it seems to work fairly well. Which is a good thing because I told the wife I was going to purchace a $250 rifle and ended up spending well over $500. I'm going to have to use this red dot for awhile.Last edited by Meka; 01-04-2010, 7:00 PM.Comment

Bushnell Tactical Elite 1x32 Red/Green T-Dot Riflescope
Bushnell Tactical Elite 1x32 Red/Green T-Dot Riflescope about $80 from Amazon right before Christmas, but they bumped up the price to $130. Nice optics for great price and you can also use the backup sights on it.
