Although I don't own one, how about the Colt Diamondback? Or is this too much of a collectible to be used for shooting?

Other than the Ruger and Cimarron, who else currently makes a .22 Mag/.22LR convertible single action?

Had I wanted to order one I could have got the model with interchangable cylinders for .22Mag. Planning to replace the grips with wood also has a ridiculous key safety. Both small things since it feels much better than the heratage offerings. I have big hands.
How does the Cimmaron compare in quality to the Ruger Single Six?

They have the entry level Plinkerton and the Model 'P' Junior Black Stallion - both with the dual cylinders - seems very practical!

Save more than your pennies and search for a Colt Diamondback.. I have a 4in and a 6 in... Love them... a little cheaper than that get a S&W K22

The Ruger is nicer built. But not by much. But for a plinker, I love the plinkerton. It shoots well. The finish is not as nice but isn't too shabby. My only complaints are the stupid safety/lock and the plastic grips (that can be replaced with with colt SAA grips). I just don't use the safety and so it doesn't really bother me.
The Ruger and Cimmaron are both nice, see which you like more. I couldn't see spending more money for a pistol I bought to shoot. I don't like the heritage .22s, they don't fit my hand well.

The Ruger Single Six is the best bargin for a single action revolver.
It double action is your choice, save up a little more and get a nice S&W Model 17. Excellent guns.

Heritage Rough Rider, impressively inexpensive and pretty durable for a little plinker. Will you be passing it on to your grandchildren? Probably not, but as long as you clean and take care of it...should last for many years. Single action, multitude of lengths colors and handles, with the 2 cylinders.

All those are prices shipped, which is pretty darn good considering handguns require faster shipping which makes it more expensive. The Out of State fees can be a pain in the arse, so try and buy one locally if you can.

If you can find one of these they are very accurate. I know they are getting pricey compared to prices 5 years ago, but they are worth it.
