    they were imported i dont know i think around 1989-93 they just looked classic and were about the same price as a ruger mark2 but they came with the front weight so you could look like a competition shooter cheap

            For me : Kimber Government model 82 rifle

            Been wanting one ever since I missed out way back when CMP had then for sale wrapped up in the plastic bag .... [ anybody remember that ?]
            " I'll get one next week " I told myself,,, and then they were Gone
            I have a Mossberg U.S. property 44 that I thought I was pretty good with...
            Then went up against a guy at WEGC with a Kimber 82......Blew me away !!

              On Guns America right now the Kimber 82s are $1000 to $3000. The CMP were selling for $300 - $400?
