Just the word "machine gun" is frowned upon in Kalifornia.

While the word "machine gun" is frowned on, this gun is a semi auto 22 rimfire and 100% CA legal except for the 50 rd cloth belt. If this is thru http://www.vindicatorbf1.com/ then they are vary friendly to CA gun owners. Lakeside won't ship links for my mini 1919 directly to me in CA, only 10 rd cloth belts, but they would ship them in bags of 10 links. Rick even gave me the bulk rate for the 100 each of 10 link bags.

I wish I had more money to get this.

It's a bit over priced, but he can ask whatever he wants for that combo- I don't recall seeing a dual barreleld set for sale in a fitted case- probably very very few made.

I think the standard guns (one barrel) are selling in the $6-7K range now.

I remember seeing a 1919A4 miniature for sale at Costa Mesa about 4 years ago, but it had no box and the T&E was busted ($3500 if my memory is right).

I wish that I had bought one when they were 2K $ - I know Frank Tabor has one of the 1919A4 varients.

He got his back when Tippman was building them and they were the original asking price.

              Good foresight on his part.

Yes, I too think it is a little high. New ones are still made by Eric at http://www.lakesideguns.com/ but like the ad said, they are marked "Lakeside" not "Tippmann". There still is a long waiting list so if you want it to say Tippmann and no wait, this isn't bad. Besides, with what some people have been selling AR's for lately...

Actually like I said earlier, the mini semi auto M2's are 100% CA legal. you just have to use 10 round belts unless you had the belts before the ban. The ones that are grey are the mini 1919's and 1917's. They only have a 12" barrel and while Fed class them as a title 1 firearm, most states class them as a handgun which in CA would make them an AW.

I built a mini 1919 from a Lakeside kit. To take all the grey out of it I put a 16.5" barrel on mine. I also pinned the tripod so it only rotates 30-40 degree instead of a complete 360 degrees to keep the OAL over 26" at all times.

                    Here's is a pic of my 1919.

Just a note- the original Tippman guns are all classed as C&Rs under federal law!!

                      Look in your C&R book

Dave, if you have links with 11rd - it isn't for our state.

The cartridges are belt feed utilizing belts or reusable links with no change to the gun.

With out getting into the whole title one debate, CA in the past DROS'ed the mini M2's as rifles and the mini 1919"s as handguns because of the shorter barrels. That is way I built a longer barrel for my mini 1919. There is no C&R exemption from the AW laws.

You can use links with 10 rounds.

Or, if you are lucky and own some pre-ban Tippmann belts (darker yellow color, more canvas-y feel, like full size 1919 belts), they can be used if you had them prior to 2000.
The newer belts are a white cloth material.
