    SSE Ruger SR22?

Is SSE for the Ruger SR22 even possible? If so how would it work? Where to buy?

No. They changed the SSE laws and the gun can never have been a semiauto pistol. To be able to use what is known as SSE 2.0 Ruger would need to sell a SR22 frame that has never been a semiauto (even for testing) and then an 07 FFL holder could then make a dimensionally compliant single shot bolt action or breaktop pistol. Ruger is not going to do this.

Your only option would be an exempt transfer.
    Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

Ruger SR22 a great plinker and casual target pistol. Although off roster they pop up occasionally on Calguns and are worth the relatively high prices they command. It took me months of watching Calguns but finally snagged one last year.

Yesterday, two Ruger semi-auto rimfire pistols were added to the Roster.

                    Ruger Mark IV Target (40183)
                    Ruger SR22 (3657)

Both pistols have magazine disconnect mechanisms.

We're they both previously on and then dropped?
I know the SR22 was on and then dropped when a change was made and resubmission required microstamping. So Ruger said F.U... my understanding.

The Ruger Mark IV was never on-Roster.
The Ruger SR22 was previously on-Roster but was dropped due to Ruger changing manufacturing on the SR22, which triggered the microstamping requirement.

Due to recent Court rulings and what was or was not stayed from those rulings, Ruger recently submitted a variant of the Mark IV Target and a variant of the SR22 for testing to be added to the Roster.

Those variants passed the testing and were added to the Roster.
