Just picked up a sweet, xlnt condition mod 30, l/h charge handle, sling in stock looks unused. All wood. Bluing awesome. Cant wait to lite up 24" barrel
Anyone here have experience with one of these?

I inherited a model 29 which is a slightly more basic version of the same gun in pieces from my dad. I finally got around to putting it back together not too long ago. The 29, 30, and 31 share a lot of the same parts. It's a great 22 and lots of fun to shoot! I believe they were sold through Sears in the 50's

Is the receiver aluminum on the 29?

Are they quality comparable to the Marlin 60 of the same era?

Who made the rifle?

I know Mossberg made the rifles for Monkey Wards back in the day.

High Standard made them. I am pretty sure the receiver itself is aluminum

The model 30 was made in 52.
My six brothers and I has one growing up.
I have on. Is the charging handle on the right our left. They made a version with left side
