I know that I've dropped a deer in its' tracks with one shot. This was years and years ago. I did wrong and would not advise anyone to do this today. But, yea, one 40gr bullet traveling at 1100fps can instantly kill at over 100 yards. I guarantee it!

Single shot hit him and it came from a .22lr 386-391 feet away. Yes, I'd say they're plenty dangerous.

yes.. even airguns are dangerous.
40 people have died from airguns this decade.

Guns are nothing to take lightly, treat it with respect, the consequences are just too great especially when children are around.

a 40 gr 22 lr bullet is similar is size to a 223 remington. at 1500 fps out of the muzzle, it is equivalent to getting shot with an AR-15 at 300 yards. no thanks. i will pass.

A "little" .22 has killed a lot of people. I would want to be on the receiving end of one and gamble if it's going to hit something vital or glance off a bone because I happened to be at a perfect angle.

Or several well placed shots. They are easy to fire real fast and real accurate.

I understand there are some anecdotal examples and one almost took out Reagan, but overall, they don't seem all that dangerous compared to bigger rounds

Just kidding. But shot placement and little muzzle climb allow for repeated shots in a close group.

don't think the AW applies to rimfire. so a PG and detachable magazine isn't anything special. i mean look at the new colt/S&W/GSG-5
