NOS clone or Browning?

I remember the $99 dollar Chinese models .about 10 years ago Sarco had a surge of them come out ,I think for under $180 bucks .saw a few in the wild .. not the best quality compared to the Browning either Belgian or Japanese.

Chinese SA-22s

I bought a very nice 1975 year Belgium Browning at LGS $500 out the door . stock had repair at the wrist . When taking these apart grip the receiver not the wood . The rear stock is $300 . When B&B was in business in the 90s the China version was $99.

I was the retail manager for several years at B&B in N. Hollywood---I remember the $99 SA-22s well---QC was all over the place---some worked, a bunch didn't... We sent a bunch back to the importer...

Bad in a good way though. It is a crime to buy a new rifle and not shoot it and report here. You will be addicted to this legendary rifle, I will guarantee it.

Took it out yesterday......had a 12x12 steel target 120 yards and had no problem ringing it just about every time. Not a single mishap.

Excellent! I'm about due for another .22 rifle day at the range myself. Marlin 39A, Savage MK II BV (target rifle) and of course the SA-22.

Got to love the 22 rifle. We get out to the Mojave and after a few hrs of heavy shooting you just want to get the ears off and do so plinking.
