I need another 22 rifle like I need another hole in my head. I'll never let that stop me. They're are a lot of them, some of them seem like a good deal at say $800, then you'll see another one very similar for $1550...

Good looking Rifle..Nice work..And a good priceBought mine new for $127.00 in 1977 (I wouldn't take $1000.00 for it today). Here are a couple of picture showing that I softened the edges of the trigger and lever and had them refinished (trigger 24 kt gold plated, lever deep blue). These were hard as a rock and it took me forever to do this.

I sold a decent but not near new one for $900 several months ago. They are popular, and go for good money. I don't think I've seen one for less than $800 in the last few years.
The early ones with Ballard rifling go for even more.Always looking for vintage Winchester and Marlin lever action rifles. Looking to sell? Know of one for sale? Drop me a line!

I ended up purchasing the Marlin 39A Golden but cannot figure out how to post the photos. If someone will post them for me, I'd be happy to email them the pictures. Like I said, it's in amazing condition and will be shot a lot! By the way, I was able to speak to the previous owner. He's in his 80's and bought this rifle new. He said he shot less than a box of shells, put it in bubble wrap and stored it in a large soft case for over 40 years.

Congrats, Bull!
I'd offer to post your pics but I too have had trouble with this new Windows 10 BEWLSHEET software.
bleh.
Love me some 39/39A! and have me a Ballard bore made in 1951. Been used a lot but still shoots tin cans center mass all day long and from some distance.
It likes standard velocity stuff and CB Longs but I don't try to shoot the latter over any appreciable distance.
Waiting for temps in the desert to dip a lil' bit and then we'll all be back at it.
