Had to go look. Called the Fsdc caretaker gen III. It's basically the same as the Ruger pack, just larger and a little bit cheaper. I have the volquartsen barrel with a cantilever mounted scope which is a tight fit in the Ruger bag, in this one it's got a little room to spare. The marlin 39m won't fit in the Ruger pack, and neither will the longer barrels on my handi rifles, but they fit just fine in the knock off. Well except the buffalo carbine, that has either a 28" or 32" barrel. 😉Comment

yes, good looking scope and perfect for a takedown. Primary arms ACSS reticles are cool. For under $200, I recommend the Primary Arms Classic Series 6x32mm Rifle Scope - ACSS-22LR.
I've never had a problem with them.

I've got the Magpul stock. I ordered the BX trigger this morning for $68. I'm still looking into the Primary Arms scope and a quick detach mount; i.e., the Vortex Crossfire II is available locally, but is two inches longer. I'm still considering what type of 'cleaning kit' I'm going to include; i.e., leaning toward an OTIS-style and not just a simple bore snake.
Any other suggestions?
Bear in mind that I'm not going to go this far...
Any preferences regarding QD sling attachments vs. stringing some parachute cord through the holes? As I noted above, I'd originally been planning on a set of QD mounts; but, I have noted some are simply using a length of parachute cord and clipping to that.Comment

The vortex crossfire ii had some bad ghosting for me in weird lighting situations, more than the pa scope. In normal lighting conditions like at the range it was fine. Between the two I significantly preferred the pa scope.
I like having a sling for when I want it, but not having it attached so I went the qd route. Some Paracord and clips would work, but if you're getting the rifle the way you want... Why draw the line there?Comment

It's not so much about 'drawing the line' as it is simply 'entertaining' the possibilities at this point. The vortex crossfire ii had some bad ghosting for me in weird lighting situations, more than the pa scope. Just like, at the moment, I'm leaning more and more toward the Primary Arms scope; but, I'm still 'open' to possibilities.Comment

Speaking of which and while I'm thinking about it...
I've been presumptively thinking in terms of the Magpul QD mounts (Type I and Type II). However, there are others such as the Grovetec. Any preference there?
Insofar as the Magpul, is there any practicable advantage to spending the money on both Types so as to have the ability to attach a sling on whichever side one chooses in the moment? I know it's largely a personal decision, but the vast majority of my slings are 'ambidextrous' in that they are traditional, attaching under the rifle as opposed to the side. (I have a couple of exceptions, but they are more conveniences than actually used.) So, I'm interested to see what the opinions are.Comment

Giving serious consideration to these rings regardless of which scope I end up with...
