Henry lever action, yes or no?

Anyone own one? I'm thinking of getting one, just wondering what you guys think of them, good or bad. Basically just for plinking. Thanks for your opinion I could not find much through the search function. Yes I'm looking at 22lr.

If you're just going to buy for plinking, are you looking at the .22lr?

I have had Henrys, Winchesters, Ubertis, and Marlins. Never had issues with any of them. I had a Rossi in 30-30 that had major issues and had to go back to the factory on multiple occasions. Presently have two Henrys in 357. Both are smooth and seem to be well crafted.

If you can afford a Winchester 94/22 , Marlin 39 or Browning you will be getting a much better gun.

I have a Henry H001, it's a good shooter and I've never had a single problem with it. I just wish they would make a nicer reciever. I'm just not a fan of the pot metal and painted finish that they use.
It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.

Thanks for your opinions, I already own a Marlin 6o and a Ruger Mkll so I was thinking of something different since I don't own a lever action in rimfire or centerfire.

My Henry H001 puts 15 shots into one ragged hole. Probably my most accurate firearm. Action is slick, too!

Get one, you won’t regret it at all; just be careful, they multiply
The nice thing is that they eat just about any .22lr ammo

It is not "pot metal", it is die cast aluminum but I agree, the painted (or probably powder coated) finish is no where near the same as a blued finish on a forged steel receiver.

They are handy rifles but are in the "Heritage Rough Rider" camp IMO.

I got their Frontier model. I love shooting that gun.

I have the Golden Boy. It's dead on accurate at 100 yards. I put the Leupold 2x7 33mm scope on it. Looks great, shoots great and is very easy and quick to clean. The chamber doesn't get dirty very fast. Lever action is much smoother than my Big Boy 357. Mine was made in NJ.

Henry would be a good choice

                            The answer is yes.
