Eagle 20 rnd mags wont weed

I went to the shop to get a couple 10/22 mags and selected stock 10 rnds. Guy ask me if i want to try the 30 rnd and I said, " I heard they don't work so good."

He said he has not had any complaints. I got one. Well, mine doesn't feed. 1st round went in OK, 2nd shot it doesn't feed.. Clear the stoppage, fire, 4th round doesn't feed.. And so on.


Any way to clean up this mag or am I SOL? It chambers the round when loading but will not feed on cycling.

Return the Eagles and buy the Butler Creek Steel Lips. Problem solved.

Thats funny cause my pre-ban plastic lips 25 rounders work great. In fact the least reliable magazine I have for my 10/22 is the stock one it came with.

Dry flake graphite make my old butler creeks work great.

As for weeding, it takes a lot of ammo to shoot down a lot of weeds. I wish I could get one of those 50 or 100 rnd drums to make the ultimate 10/22 weed eater!!!

I have some pre-war butler creeks and ramlines. None weeds as well as the wactory 10 rounders. I try to carry twenty loaded 10 rounder when going into the field. (they fit in a nail pouch or 44 mag speedloader pouches...)

I always treat my mags with round-up. They never have weeds.

Eagle mags are the biggest pieces of crap made. If you want the best, go with TIs, second best Butler Creek steel lips. All plastic lipped 10-22 mags will wear out in time. BTW, I'm assuming that you are not in California, right?

yep ive had more problems with the steel lip than the hot lip

that may sound extreme i think it is the way the steel lip kind of pushes them in diagonaly similar to the rotary but the hot lip goes straight vertical into the chamber
