i don't know if i would recommend hanging something off the barrel.
i mean a shotgun is one thing, but this could affect the accuracy, or maybe not.

i would opt for something like this caldwell rail that basically mounts over the sling stud and gives you another so you don't lose anything.

i put one on my 10/22 td lite, but for a bipod if needed.

Got & installed the Caldwell Rail.

Fits perfect and tight against the stock. The Streamlight locks on tight. Easy to adjust the light.

Stock 10 22 shoots fed auto target and cci min mag in one hole at 25 yards.try different ammo before you swap out a factory barrel .you might be suprised.
