    AA .22 Conversion for Glocks

I did the mod too for my 21sf. Works perfectly now with CCI Minimag solids, the heavier 40gr solid. Got the instructions from a post here on CG over a year ago, found through a search function. Great accessory!

The instructions indicate that dry firing is not good for the firing pin and they have put a small dimple in the top of the chamber lip to help with this. Since a "dry fire" is required to disassemble the kit from the frame, what I did was insert a fired casing into the chamber, rotated so the there was undamaged rim in place so it would be a safe "dry fire" and not risk damage.

I have kept a small handfull of fired cases in the little zip lock bag that holds the sight adjustment tool just for this purpose.

Sounds like I need to look into these!

I use the small wall anchor as a snap cap for my 22s. Works pretty well tp save firing pins and chambers for me.

A wall anchor was my first thought. But I forgot to look for one (I have hundreds in my hardware collection) before I left for the range. The fired case was a back up solution that filled that role and since I will always have fired cases, I will be prepared at the range when I disassemble.

I was just looking this morning on picking one of these conversions up. I have been back and forth on doing it. Almost want a dedicated 22 handgun but this will probably get me to the range more with my Glock. Perfect thread timing.

I have several dedicated .22s (mostly revolvers but one 22/45 Ruger auto). This kit just adds another dimension to the G19 and my wife gets a kick out of the conversion as well.
