Advantage Arms .22 Conversion Kit for Glocks

I ordered and received the Advantage Arms .22 Conversion kit for both of our Glock 19s (one kit to share between the two).

Yesterday I had the time to take it to the range and try it out. This is an excellent conversion kit, fits easily to the frame and performs flawlessly. Since the slide is aluminum, the gun is much lighter also.

The magazine loads and performs perfectly in the gun, no hiccups. They include a mag loader that is based on the original Glock loader.

AND, it is super accurate (picture attached). The rear sight is fully adjustable (windage and elevation). First magazine on the top target and since it was shooting left I adjusted the sight and the result is the bottom target (both at 10 yards). I used the recommended ammo which is CCI 40 grain round nose mini-mags. So far, I'm very impressed with this kit. I hope to get my wife out today so she can try it (after cleaning out the barn).

Cool - I've been thinking of getting one but was turned off by older reviews stating that it wasn't that great. Where did you pick it up?

I ordered it through the "Glock Store".

They are really well made, taking it out again today so my wife can check it out on her G19.

I did a magazine mod to all my magazines because they weren’t feeding smoothly or allowing for a clean extraction.
              Same.

Don't know if it's same thing as SoCalZen had to do, but I had all those issues. Got an AA kit for .45acp glock. I noticed the slide was hitting on the feed lips and getting hung up. Scrapped the feed lips on a rock a little bit, made them just a hair shorter, and it's been fine ever since.

I wanna get some more mags for it since I only have the one. Be interesting to see if it was just that one mag or not... Some day when they're in stock...

That would be good to know. We have not had any feed problems yet (took it out again yesterday so my wife could try it out). We did have one FTF, looked like a light strike, ejected it and continued. I lubricated the slide where the instructions said to but neglected to lube the firing pin. That may have been it.

I have a similar unit. It's been very reliable, even with a Polymer80 PF90 frame.

Been using an AA for my G17 for a while now. Use it as a "warm up" when I first get to the range, switch the slide back to factory and shoot the more expensive rounds.

When I first got it did have some FTF and FTE stovepipe issues. Went through different ammo brands and found it really likes the LAX house brand. Was at the range a few weeks ago with a buddy having a "22 day at the range" he tried it out with some other brand ammo, it chewed through all of it. Since then, I've tried all the brands in my stash and it shot all of it with only 5 FTF issues. I saved the rounds and took them apart when I got home, it was a lack of primer in the base of the rounds.

                        So another happy AA shooter!!!

I've had one for several years. It's been stone reliable and oddly enough, prefers Remington Golden Bullets. No accounting for taste, I guess!
I'm retired. That's right, retired. I don't want to hear about the cop who stopped you today or how you didn't think you should get a ticket. That just makes me grumpy!
