    I really like the Burris Fullfield scope that came with my Savage MkII .22LR. It's usually under $200 and compares surprisingly well to my more expensive Leupold and SWFA scopes. I'd also consider the SWFA Ultralight 2.5-10x if your budget allows.

      Burris scopes are a good value I have a Burris Droptine rifle scope - 4.5-14x42mm ao.

        primaryarms has a good selection. for a decent price you actually get decent glass. their stuff is china made, butt their CS dept will cover you if anything goes wrong.

        doesnt sound like you need a top shelf scope.

        although... buy once cry once.

        and vortex is very good btw.

          Sure, you don't need a $1,000 scope for a 22, but how will the other people at the range know how awesome you are?

          My 10/22 proudly wears a Tasco 4X, which I bought on clearance for $4. Rings were included for that price, too. It holds zero surprisingly well.

            I just scored another Leupold off of another CGer, I have one riding on every rifle I own, from 4-12 - 6.5-20 LRP great optics lifetime warranty.
