    10/22 - Kidd single or 2 stage?

I mostly shoot for accuracy off the bench... but maybe will hunt at SOME point....

Do I want a Kidd single or 2 stage?

Current trigger is a BX, which is SORT OF 2 stage since there does seem to be an initial gritty slight first stage which I have figured out, and once I get past that there is a decent break if I squeeze a bit more.

    2 Stage.

I have a Kidd two stage in my 10/22, you won't regret it.

To each their own.. I mainly use mine in the field and prefer single stage.

2 stage is safer if you want a really short and light final break.
Single stage has to have either more travel or heaver pull weight to be as safe in the field.
I would not shoot an 8oz single stage in the field, but an 8 ounce 2 stage is no problem.

I had the 2 stage and it was great. Predictable wall on the first and light on the 2nd.

I have six 10/22s, all with Kidd triggers - one Single Stage drop-in at 24oz, two Trigger Job Kits at 28oz, and three two stages, two at 3/3oz and one at 8/8oz. If I had it to do over, they would all be two stages. They can be set at 20/20oz (2.5lbs total) but I think the 8/8 is perfect for all-around use.

It took a couple dozen shots to really get the feel for the 3/3, but then I can reliably hold at the second stage as long as I want. Also, you can change between curved and flat trigger blades. For the $55 more than a Single Stage drop-in, it's a bargain.

I have a Kidd 2 stage and it is absolutely great - but would I buy it again... no.

I would buy a single stage Kidd trigger simply because of where I shoot I am allowed to rapid fire and for a while we had a dueling tree there

It scares people the first time they try, but after a couple pulls, anyone can adapt to it.

I wasn't aware that you could not rapid fire with a 2 stage.
I have been doing it for 20+ years.
I guess I have been doing it wrong all this time.

you absolutely can rapid fire a 2 stage... as you already know. while the fact that I am jerking the crap out of the trigger these days, thanks to my last few years behind a shotgun, unless I am sitting at the bench making one big hole out of a bunch of little holes I just don't see the need for it... that being said I'm not rushing out to sell my 2stage either, it is an a great trigger, I'm just saying that if i had to do over again I would have just saved some money and gone with a single stage

Most two stage triggers can have the first stage adjusted to no travel which effectively turns them into single stage triggers.

I've got a Kidd single stage trigger group. It works great. No issues.

For a 22lr, single stage. For an AR 10/15 two stage.

Ive had a couple of each and personally like the single better. But it largely depends on primary use. If I found a Kidd trigger group out in the woods Id be happy with either.
