CZ 452 bedding

My CZ 452 is a mighty fine shooting .22, however I am one who can't leave well enough alone. Barrel is free floated, and I'm a gonna bed the action. Any of you folks have a pre / post 452 bedding story that might influence my decision. I have bedded and pillared a few in my time, so its not like I aint capable of doin it right. Just want to hear others experience pro or con.

I follow a medical mantra of "first do no harm" and proceed from there.

Can the CZ print a 1" or less @100yds with good standard velocity/sub sonic ammo?

If it does, then chasing that extra 1/2" down for precision sake will take more than bedding. It may take a barrel swap and much better trigger too.

Be prepared to go all the way.

I pillar bedded my 452 Varmint and installed a YoDave trigger spacer. With Federal bulk 36grn .22 from walmart It's easily shot through 1 ragged 1/8" hole at 50 yards. The only downside it is way too accurate and got boring rather quickly. Now it just sits in the safe for teaching the next generation how to shoot.

I am in the process of bedding my 455. I have 1 more day to wait for the epoxy to cure.

My one advise is buy the Acraglas. Using generic epoxy has caused my quite a bit of difficulty in terms of how it flows, vs. just sticking to where it was applied.

I have no feedback on accuracy just yet.

which 452 - there are differences in the action or at least the way in which the stock is attached that will make a difference in how/what you can do or rather how much it is going to cost you

You funny. Seriously, get some good ammo and you can shoot through 1/16 hole.

I have a 457 in .17HMR with a varmint barrel that shoots 5/8" groups at 100 yards. That's good enough for me. Now all I need is a large squirrel colony so I can give the rifle a proper workout.

I also have a .22lr sporter profile barrel for it. Haven't put enough rounds through to have an opinion one way or another.

Bedding is probably less expensive than a heavier barrel but I'm guessing that might be a better option.
