WRT the tupperware stock-boyd's is your first answer.

If that doesn't solve your issue completely, there are several cheek rest/riser options available as "add-ons" to the Boyds wood stock replacement.

I do have the Boyds tacticool stock also... I wish the forend wasnt so fat and long and also so heavy!

The semi auto 64F and 64FVSR have the worst drop in the stock. Boyds stock works on those and the kydex cheek riser kits on ebay work pretty good for $30 bucks. Also, I had to reverse the picattiny rails to get a better eye relief on the cheap tasco scopes, but it works.

I left my little Mk2 fvsr alone and it works great. I'm 6'4" and can choot it all day long with the cheap production stock without whining.

I actually tried mine BEFORE I bought it and decided I can live with the stock as is. Good rifle for kids to learn on too.

Low comb is nothing a little duct tape and foam rubber can't fix. It is after all a cheaply bought rifle. Accurate as the day is long and a fantastic value!

I like it so much I got a 93R in 17hmr to go with it. I bought it cheap because seller couldn't shoot it well. Blamed rifle

$400 stock on a $200 rifle seems foolish even though savages are incredibly accurate.

Don't tell that to 10/22 guys.

They put in $400 barrels, $400 triggers all before they stick it in a $400 stock.

It's solid and you can add spacers to raise or lower. You will need to keep an eye on ebay or comb the internet for HK parts sellers.

Search around to find them cheaper. I also used the factory HK counter sunk long screws to mount it, but it isn't necessary

Okay. Looks like Brownells for the riser and Midway for the spacer.

Good deal! I drilled and tapped the mounting holes, because the HK screws were machine type screws. I think you'll be happy with it.

I was curious how the screws were held in the stock. I could (maybe) install threaded inserts? I believe (suspect) that the stock is mostly hollow, and the outer plastic skin isn't very thick. I'll sort it out. Thanks for the help.
