    Glad to hear that.

I own a NAA and it's good to know that they will take care of me if I have issues!

You MIGHT want to let NAA know the runaround Turner's gave you.

The SMARTEST thing Turner's COULD'VE done, is say, "Please refer to the mfg's. warranty," which WOULD'VE been honest, and to the point.

The fact Turner's is as "customer unfriendly" as they are, NAA might like to know that; they may want to reconsider THEIR relationship with them. Enough complaints like that, and THAT'S how you get Turner's to shape up, or get bought out.

I did mention in passing that I had issues with the retailer not willing to work with me but unfortunately I don't think NAA is big enough of a company to have that type of leverage. If a lot of Glock or S&W customers had problems with Turner's service that would be a different story. What really irks me is that it's a functional issue that they chose to ignore. If it was just cosmetic I wouldn't be nearly as concerned about it. The manager also dismissed it as 'just a $300 gun', so would they have reacted differently if it was a Ruger or a Smith revolver that was out of time?

Being a retailer still entails some sort of responsibility for taking care of the customer. 'Not their problem' after 30 days is not the way to have a good relationship with the community.

About 30 years ago I sent a revolver back to NAA and it was stolen by someone at UPS. UPS paid me and I bought a new NAA. This was before UPS required 2 day shipping and I sent it ground.

I've had decent luck with Turners (a couple slow DROS's and a couple fast ones too... and one that saved a transaction when another store decided to make up things about "real ID" that were simply wrong...).

As far as "expertise", I'd rate their employees "about average" - some more knowledgeable than others. I don't think I've seen a "gunsmith" among them at the stores I've been to. IOW, they probably wouldn't be the first choice for diagnosing a problem with a firearm... You literally "came to the right place" on CalGuns for a "second opinion" on your concerns. And I think we all have recommended contacting the manufacturer for followup.

Turner's employees tend to know their inventory reasonably well, but the unusual stuff, maybe not so much. The NAA is a bit of a unique piece, and yep, VERY reasonably priced for what is a pretty well made "tiny gun". Turner's should have simply referred you to the factory for expert repair of the issue. Sloppy, unprofessional, par for 2020... all of the above? Last time I stopped in the local one, they had some ammo I wanted to backfill my stock, had me in and out in minutes and no price gouging (except the 9, which I guess is crazy priced everywhere).

I "amateur smith" my own firearms, and while I'm learning more about the little "Mini", I can attest to the cylinder fitting being an "interesting" challenge with tricky tolerances - but these little guns are really beautiful and functional designs. Have NAA do whatever they need to (probably fit a new cylinder, unless there's an adjustment I haven't figured out yet... still learning!), and you'll have a nice piece that you'll enjoy for a long time. While they have it "in the shop", consider having them fit the 22lr cylinder and a spare 22wmr - they are fairly cheap "extras" you might find handy.

Turners in Temecula is one of Several guns stores I have shopped at over the last few years and I have had no significant issues other than they are often slow or slower than other LGS at doing PPT. I think the level of service at Turners varies from store to store as it does between other LGS and can vary depending on which particular employee you deal with. Due to its size Turners often has special manafacturers deal or sales pricing that LGS can not offer, or in stock (prior to the CHINA virus) inventory that is not available else where. Other times small LGS are the better choice for me. For example my favorite small local gun shop offer Glock Blue Label pricing, which Turners does not. I am happy to have the option to shop at either type gun store. For those that bash Turners, I wish you would identify the specific location you are having a problem with because I don’t believe some complaints apply to all locations. That said I also thought that it is a store wide policy that is emphasized with gun purchases that any issues or warranty problems should be handled directly with the manufacturer. I have always been made aware of that when buying guns there.

I have a NAA .22LR on my CCW but just can't begin to imagine the "shock and awe" of pulling the trigger on the .22WMR!

I had a positive experience last Christmas when the Mrs. bought her first handgun that wasn't transferred from me. That was in Salinas.

I posted a while back about an issue I was having with the NAA 22 I purchased from Turner's being out of time. Today I took it back to them and immediately understood why Turner's has the reputation they do.

Here's some of the highlights of my conversation with their manager:

-Since it has been more than 30 days it wasn't their problem (keep in mind that it was in repair for an entire month, and that I've had it less than 2 weeks)
-It's not a big issue, just shoot it and see if it works (I'd rather not shoot a gun that's out of time)
-It's not their problem, if the manufacturer sold it to them it must be a safe gun (even though it is noticeably out of time)
-And my favorite one: It's only a $300 gun, so what do I expect? I got what I paid for (I have guns more and less expensive than this one, cost is no excuse for a defective product)
While the responses were BS, Turners is not a warranty station.

Lots of people have positive experiences.
                          They just don't post them.

Since we all know that 1 bad experience wipes out 100 good experiences, the people with good experiences don't even bother anymore.
That's why you only find bad experiences when you go looking.
People don't realize they are seeing 1% of the picture when all they find is bad experiences.

If you post a good experience, you just get called a shill.

Yeah, it's a little "snappier", but I have the holster grip on the one I've got, it only stings a little <wink>. Not sure it'd be fun with the teeny tiny factory grip. I picked up a 22LR cylinder for it since that makes it cheaper to shoot, but wanted the 22wmr for the better ballistic performance. The magnum version of the Mini is slightly larger than the 22LR only version, but barely! It's a nice bonus feature that they make LR cylinders for it.

As far as Turner's, I had one crazy long PPT DROS/pickup, and a different one that was so fast I barely had to slow down the car <wink>. They were both at the same location, at different times... They are always thorough, meaning triple checks of the paperwork, and so it can be slow if they are busy. They often are, and it can be hectic. But they've never tried to jack me for a "house brand lock"... so there's that...

With all the gun shops that have closed (I've witnessed plenty of them closing in the San Fernando Valley), I believe the gun community needs Turners.

Even if you've had a less than pleasurable experience there (I don't necessarily like some of their policies), we need them to stick around.

If they go under, that's 29 fewer gun stores in California.
And if they go, who goes next?
It's kind of a slippery slope.

It's more important to have local alternatives than it is to worry about a bad experience.

CA isn't very friendly toward gun stores and even worse for small gun shops. I talked to someone who had a home ffl and he was telling about some of the requirements that he needed to meet to be able to do business. That means it's the bigger businesses that are left because they can undercut the small shops on pricing and number of stores. Unfortunately it doesn't seem like the big chain stores are really 'enthusiast' places or have very strong gun support but only really have a business model on pushing sales and making money. Obviously all businesses are there to make money, but the little things can make a big difference between a friendly local shop and a soulless corporation. It's always a good thing to have more options, but not when they push other places out of business like the walmart model and then you're left with worse than before.
