    Range Report

Took my Beretta u22 Neos out today for the first time, and I loved it!

It was deadly accurate straight out of the box, more so than my dad's Ruger MkII. Only had some Remington value ammo, and it shot that beautifully, no misfires or FTFs in 150 or so rounds I had.

The gun feels great in the hand, and the trigger pull is butter smooth. I got the 6" barrel, and it's a little front heavy, but makes up for that in it's accuracy.

This gun is a great plinker and I'm sure it'd do great at the range when I get a chance to take it.

Did you take out your communicator and ask Scotty to beam you back home when you were done?

    JK, man.
Proudly nestled all snugly and warm in Hillary's basket. She even made room for my bibles and guns!

Had mine out for the first time yesterday

I picked my neos up on Friday and ran about 200 rounds through it yesterday. I agree, this is a great target shooter. I have the 4.5 barrel, so it felt well balanced and has a nice trigger. Also, I like the sites.

One callenge. At my local indoor range, the brass ejects hard and bounces of the wall of the shooting stall in such a way that about half hits me in the head. Don't forget your eye protection
I'll bet you have more than 2k worth of guns and I'll bet you have no insurance coverage for them. PM me for help in protecting your investment for only a couple of bucks per year.

LOL! the brass does eject pretty far, I was pelting my dad shooting next to me, but I see that as being well built. I'm thinking about getting a red dot/holographic sight for it just so I can test the limits of the accuracy, the iron sights didn't quite do it justice.

My son and I were out shooting this weekend with his NEOS and I noticed that he seemed to be shooting high a lot... I shot the pistol and sure enough it was shooting quite high all of a sudden... Hmm......

Turns out, the elevation screw on the rear sight and loosened up and was backing out as he was shooting. I re-adjusted but after a while the screw loosened again.

I ended up taking the little spring under the rear sight out and stretching it to keep more pressure on the sight to keep the screw from backing out again. That fixed it.

Maybe this will help if somebody else has a similar issue. That was the only issue I have ever had with this great pistol.

Thanks, I'll be sure to look for this issue with mine. It never occurred to me that that may be an issue.

One thing though, on mine, I can't seem to adjust the rear sight side to side... the screw is either really stiff, or I'm just a weakling lol. either way, it seems to be pretty close, so until I get it on paper, I won't worry about it.

btw, which barrel length does your son's have?

Yes, the screw on the left/right adjustment is stiff. First time I turned it I was worried it might be stuck and I would strip/damage it but it turned and is now OK. Use a good fitting screwdriver to avoid possibility of stripping the head.

My son has the 4.5" barrel version.
