I liked the look, but after reading the reviews on the Wildcat, it sounds a bit cheap in the build quality department, I'd put the money elsewhere if it were me... of course if you like the Wildcat, it's fairly cheap, so... it's a more traditional rifle to add to your M&P and PCC9. Tough call, since a 10/22 is a good "little brother" to that PCC....

I've got a "few" 22's, LR and wmr, bolt and semis. It's hard to beat the 10/22 and there are so many aftermarket options and stocks, it's great to "play" with and learn some gun smithing while you're at it. It's like Legos for adults!

Just buy the cheapest base model to get the "barrelled action" (and that crucial receiver to build around, everything else is replaceable to your whims), and when it gets boring, turn it into a bullpup, or a breakdown (QBD stock), or a "tactical" with folding stock and pistol grip. Lots of options, so you won't get bored with a plain vanilla rifle!

The cheap base model 10/22 was going for under $200 on sale up until the virus hit, so you don't have to go to the TD if you don't want or need the bug out discreet rifle aspect. I started with a base model Black Friday special just because I could throw it on another DROS. I've got a few different configurations now, they are all fun to shoot, so I guess the first one was a "gateway drug" thing! Fun, addictive, and a solid established platform.

Cheapest bolt is closer to $300 something now, even with my $50 coupon, I am still close to $290. I should wait until the prices come back down

Now is not the time to be buying.... the recent panics have sucked up all the inventory and people seem to be willing to pay crazy prices just to have something that will go "bang".

Hopefully that $50 coupon doesn't expire soon, and maybe things will eventually chill out.... or not...

It expires in 25 days, I already paid for my G17, so cant use it on that. I think it is a bad idea to buy more handgun. My wife is gonna kill me

I bought Henry 001, shoot it, appreciated it, and a year later I put it in the safe and never shoot it again because I bought Henry Golden Boy.
The Henry 001 rifle built so well, shoot so accurate, many good things with it, so I have to buy another one, very much the same just look better.

Save some dimes get the Golden Boy otherwise you will get it sooner or later.
The Golden Boy is Henry's most accurate rifle outside the Long Ranger line. Even better with the Leupold 2x7 33 mm scope.

My home built CMMG barreled AR-22 is even more accurate than the Henry.

Traditional rifle style in 22LR is an excellent way to develop rifle marksmanship.

Inexpensive semiauto 22: Marlin model 60, Marlin 795, Savage

Inexpensive 22 bolt: Marlin XT, Savage

22 Lever guns are $350 and up

Spent the coupon on another handgun, guess this will be on hold for now. I did stumble onto a 10/22 take down with the magpul stock, but it is $480 or something.
