      The big difference is that single sizes and bearcats have steel frames with aluminum grip frames while the wrangler has an aluminum frame and a zinc grip frame.

      Some think aluminum is no good for the frame but my 50 year old Colt Frontier Scout aluminum frames have held up just fine.
      I have a 2002 Bearcat it has steel frame and steel grip frame only alloy on it is the ejector rod housing.

      Looking closer at it the grip frame is part of the frame, trigger guard is a separate part.
