I was using mine on my .223 Savage, but recently purchased a Leupold VX3 4.5x14-40 from a friend. It's a very nice scope with a varmint reticle and objective focus.

I'm happy with basic. I'll fix my eye issues at the ophthalmologist generally. The fuzzy illuminated dot and astigmatism does suck though.

The 3x9 33mm VX Freedom is an excellent scope. It also has a very fine reticle so you can zero in better. My AR-22 and Cal Guns AR have them. Easy to see one .22LR hole at 100 yards.

        Old 2 x 7 Redfield-Widefield works well for me.

I have a Simmons 4x32 scope on my 10/22. It's great up to 50 yards for small paper targets. Beyond that I would recommend getting one with 7 or 9 power.

Or maybe my eye sight sucks...

If your only going to shoot paper a 24 or 36 power Weaver is the cheapest best setup you can buy.
If your budget is tighter than a $400 scope get a variable power Tasco 6-24 and avoid anything that has less than a 1 inch tube on it.

I have this FFP scope on my slightly modified 10/22 and really like it.

              Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

If you are punching paper get something like a Mueller 8-32x44. Especially if you modify your 10/22. If you leave it stock you won’t need that much power at 100 yds, wasted money. I use the Muellers on my CZ’s and splat flies at 50 yds

If you are just shooting from a bench then go with a higher magnification. If you are going to shoot offhand you will want a lower magnification, in the 2 to 4 power ranger. I put a Leupold 3 X 9 on my wife and daughters 10-22s.
