Clear coat over bare metal for 10/22?

whatever is best for you. after seeing all thses guns paint, i really want to do one.

want to get my fiance a .22 or something just so i can paint it. i do bodywork and airbrush, so when i saw pics of guns painted, i have to do it.lol

Yes, either clear powder coat or clear anodize. These will be the toughest finishes and over time wont change color (ie yellow) like spray ons will

ppg wont turn yellow. rattle can clear will.

id do a clear anodize. clear pc would be ok but like someone said it'll be thicker and could mess up tolerances. the ano adds very very little if any thinckness and holds up great


and yea thers clear powder coat, thers also chrome and candy colors too candies over chrome look like really shiny anodizing for anything thats not aluminum

Now that I think of it , I don't think you can anodize cast. I cant remember if the 10/22 cast or milled?
