Brand new under $200, maybe a Savage 64f.

The Savage 64 F is a reliable semi-automatic .22 LR rifle with 21" carbon steel barrel and 10-round magazine. Perfect for target shooting at the range.

Check used racks at gun shops and pawn shops for Marlin 60 or, if you want bolt action, 881. Both tube fed, accurate, durable guns. I have one of each, bought at LGS for $125 or less plus DROS. Both are more accurate than a stock 10/22 carbine. The older ones seem to have better fit and finish than the new ones, and are commonly available used.

Or get a $40 guitar case which can fit any rifle or shot gun.

Marlin. Hopefully a older used one. Not a modern Remlin.
