    AW rules apply to rimfire?

Quick, dumb question guys. Do the assault weapon laws apply to rimfire rifles? Is a S&W M&P 15-22 required to be fixed mag or featureless?

Rimfire is exempt for rifles, but not for pistols

it's not... it's not center fire where all the nutty rules seem to be focused on.

however, you still need to abide to 10rd mag iirc unless you had one before the ban and obtained during the benitez ruling? i'm not sure myself of this. meaning i have a gsg-5, could i have bought a 22rd gsg mag during that that week and i'm set?

p.s. was too busy to keep track and yeah, i'm starting to get some not buying remorse.

I plan to get a M&P 15-22 so I have something to stick the pile of 25rd mags in that I bought during CA Mag Freedom Week.

Different set of laws, some are shared.

Yes if you had mags for it that you picked up during that week you would be good to go.

Suddenly that week I “obtained” many SCMs for my .22 rifles, and many other handguns and long guns lol. Yup, got them all on 4/1/19. Even the ones that look really old and used...I....ummmm....bought them used....yeah, that’s it

Forward thinking, that's all. Buy SCM's while you could for all the guns you want to get later.

FYI, I got four of the 25-round 15-22 mags during Freedom Week (i.e. enough to load-up 100-round sleeves of CCI Mini Mags), and took them up to the Los Altos Rod & Gun range last week. That range allows rapid-fire with rimfire-only weapons on their 40 yds Tin Can range ... 25-round mags + rapid fire + water-filled tin cans = very fun! Now I need to eat more canned foods to re-build my cache of targets.
