Walked back in while my wife shopped at boot barn next door, and they said they would take my order and ask their boss for forgiveness!Comment

Yeah. They can't dros it if the gun isn't there. I think I'll wait to hold one before I buy. I'd probably buy two of them, match up with the two 22lr lever guns I have.
Please let us know how you like it.It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.

No Ruger Wrangler thread yet?
Didn't see a thread after a search so here it goes...
Ruger's new Single-Six style cerakoted .22LR looks like it may be a low cost winner. Basically, all parts are Aluminum except the cylinder and barrel (of course), and it comes stock with a free-spin pawl. Like the S&W pinto style two-tone looks on 2 of the 3 models.
Gunblast did a very positive review on the gun with exceptional accuracy, and one thing he mentioned is that the original cost of the single six in the '50s is nearly double of that after inflation to the $249 MSRP Wrangler.
Might have to piggy-back one on my Lipsey's order once ready.Comment

keep in mind Gunblast has not met a gun that they did not review well.
But Ruger should make a decent aluminum version of a single action 22 LRComment

Other reviews suggest the fit/finish and relative action are superior to the heritage, and you can see that flush fitment in the video vs. what seems like bad masonry junctions in the other.
At the price I’ll give it a try for sure and already made the call for three total (two for family). If the first run is as good as the review it’s half the price of a CZ Kadet conversion in its own proprietary non-conversion platform.
As a devout SA fan, I am still skeptical but want in on one for sure. If anything, and assuming it’s a hit for Ruger, which seems to be the case in terms of orders and sold guns on major auction sites, think of the R&D/cool new toy revenue for Ruger.
Combined cost, i’ve spent as much for free wheel pawl (which comes stock with the wrangler), belt mountain base pin, and a drop-in SBH hammer.Last edited by sierra11b; 04-30-2019, 8:29 PM.Comment

I was in Turner's the other day and they were still taking orders. I think for that price, I'll have to go for one. I'm thinking the silver model.sigpic

Thanks @jeffrice6
They were saying that the wrangler is such a success that Ruger has so many on preorder that they have already pushed the shipment date out twice. The manager said i may not get the first batch, but as soon as mine is in they will let me know. That's just the hear say i got today when they took my money ;pComment

Hope turners will still take orders friday as that is when I can stop inOriginally posted by leelawBecause -ohmigosh- they can add their opinions, too?Originally posted by SoCalSig1911Preppers canceled my order this afternoon because I called them a disgrace... Not ordering from those clowns again.Originally posted by PrepperGunShopTruthfully, we cancelled your order because of your lack of civility and your threats ... What is a problem is when you threaten my customer service team and make demands instead of being civil. Plain and simple just don't be an a**hole (where you told us to shove it).Comment

Fondled several of them at the NRA convention. They feel pretty good but there were a couple of things. First, the grips seem a little thin. Not a problem but noticeable. Second, the loading gate on 4 different ones all are stiff. The surface of the loading gate is rather small and feels a little pointy. Noticed that I could feel the sharpness of the loading gate. Think it might have a lot to do with the size across compared to a loading gate on a Single-Six/Single-Ten. Other than that, they locked up nicely and the trigger pull felt good. And you can't beat the price.
Walked the people I was with from seeing the Wrangler at the Ruger booth over to the Heritage Arms booth to check out the Rough Rider. All of them preferred the Wrangler.NRA Life Member
