i hope once the Wrangler is released, other FFL's can get close to Turner's pre-sale pricing.

or else i would be really bummed i missed out on the pre-ordering.....

or wait till ver2.0 comes out with a 6inch barrel and FO sights? although that would entail a price bump of at least $100-$200 i'm assuming for those two things.

I did a Turner's pre-order. Maybe other distributors/FFLs are ahead of them in line? Maybe a production problem? No clue, but bummed that I have to wait longer.

Depending on your distributor/FFL, it could be backordered due to demand. Some have received and delivered to customers already.

I spoke with a Turner's manager yesterday who said that Ruger was overwhelmed with pre-orders. Originally the Wrangler was to be out in mid-May, now pushed out to mid-June.

Why would Ruger push the initial release date out another month? What benefit does that buy them? Does making the handguns and then keeping them in storage for up to a month sound like a particularly good idea? Why wouldn't they want to get them out and realize the sales/money?

If the revolver is delayed, perhaps some other factor is in play. Possible problems with the production line or supplies?

I've put several boxes of 22WMR of different brands and bullet weights thru this Heritage and it hasn't blown up yet. I enjoy the extra punch of the magnum ammo.

You'd think if a Heritage Rough Rider can handle 22mag, Ruger's new Wrangler probably should too.

Yep, they are Zamak too, including the cylinder frame. I bet Ruger’s aluminum frame is stronger. But I’ve never ran the 22mag cylinder in my Heritage and probably wont.

The few single sixes I owned all gummed up pretty quick. More time cleaning than shooting!

I wonder if that is due to ammo quality. I've never had that happen to me and my 43 year old Super Single Six and that has included several all-day shooting sessions (mostly Winchester or Federal ammo).

Just passing along what Jeff Quinn did... I'm sure if you check one out and the frame is made of Zamak 5 it is pretty obvious. Jeff must like to live dangerously. I'd side with Ruger recommendations too, but I haven't even seen one in person. Undecided so far... want one of course. Already have Ruger .22 revolver.

Only the grip frame is made of Zamak. The cylinder frame is made of aluminum alloy. 22 Long rifle and 22 Winchester Magnum rimfire both operate at the same pressure (24,000psi).
