Ruger Wrangler

My new Bronze Wrangler came in today. Yea fun new toy. Got to LOVE it for just $199.
Good points:
• Pretty- everyone was asking about it at my range
• Light and well balanced so it’s easy to point and sight
• the front sight blade is thin so it is nicely proportioned for the slot and barrel length
• Grips feel great, they have an aggressive checked pattern that is perfect for a good hold.
• Very good grouping, indoor with a white “pick you parts” target at 7 to 18 yards it made groups about 1.5”.
• I shot 200 Winchester LR through it reliably.

Rough Points:
• The loading gate is very very hard to open, ouch.
• The trigger pull was a bit heavy so I did “poor man’s trigger job” on it and got it below 3#. (TOO light for a novice or youth.)

Turner's in Fresno said that they don't have any in yet and are expecting end of May to mid June. They will call when they arrive.

I pre ordered mine at the Turners in Signal Hill and they never even called me. I just went in for some ammo and I asked if they heard anything and they said, "No....but they came in..." like uhh ok? The lady goes to the back to look for my serial number and "can't find it," until her coworker comes out with it. Point being, be proactive and call or visit the store you pre ordered yours cuz apparently they were just in the back chilling.

Just got a call from Turner's Orange saying that my silver Wrangler is at the store ready for me to start the DROS! Hope to get by there tomorrow.

Kentucky Gun Co got a bunch in but they might be spoken for already.

OOS already, other sources also say OOS or Allocated. Ruger will have to catch up with demand!

Saw a black one at a LGS yesterday but didn't realize what it was until I saw this thread later and was on limited time to pickup a transfer pistol. May get back to check it out later, didn't look at price.

Dros'ed my Wrangler today at Turners in Reseda. It felt very nice and the build quality was excellent. I ended up buying a Henry 22 Lever action as well. So hard to justify a dros expense on a single low cost gun...

Zinc grip frame means that this revolver cannot be sold in places that have a "saturday night special" melting point law.

That would be only 4 states if I remember correctly, went through this with trying to get KY to ship a Bridhead grip Heritage Rough Rider to CA they Claimed the melting point issue. Was quickly corrected by Heritage and the pistol was shipped.

well if turners is selling for $199.99 regular price, then i can expect independent stores to sell for around $180.

since we all know that turners regular price is always higher than everyone else.

*LOL* My wife just HAD to have one. So we hopped over to the Turner's in Temecula. Pre-orders at $179.99 are over (we went 05/04/19) so now the price is $199.99. No DROS until the gun is in stores. They told us Mid-May aswell, not Mid-June
