    Addicted to .22

So I slapped a scope on my Stock 10/22 and have fallen in love with the accuracy and low cost of shooting it. I think I'll be picking up a 550rd box of Rem. Golden Bullet .22LR from wal-mart every week, and going up to shoot the box the same weekend.

Waiting on my GM 20" barrel and my hogue OM stock. Coming in this thursday
Going to save up for a Mueller APV and a KID Trigger group, and a decent bipod as well.

I have discovered the same thing myself man. After spending countless dollars on other bullets, now all I do is shoot .22. Haha, shoot all day for less then $20? Sign me up for sure.

        Exactly!
Burro Canyon lets you shoot all day for $10. A bulk box is like $16. $26 bucks a day to shoot is cheap as heck, and fun to shoot.

It'll probably be closer to 2-3 times a month, but still, better than the once every two to three months I'm currently doing.

Discovering the fun of .22 has allowed me to hit the range once a week. I cant get enough of it now. Haha, its like you said. I now have a new addiction. I pick up my GSG-5 tomorrow and cant wait to break her in.

            Love me some .22!

Same here. I brought my AR and my mkII to the range. Shot 40 rnds in my AR and switched to the 22lr for the rest of the day. I'm just to broke to shoot 5.56.

Man it sounds like a broken record i know but, I used to take the 12 ga. and usp alot until I got the 10/22 with the scope and Neos with the red dot Now i'm thinking about picking up spare parts for my "duece-dueces" cuz thats all I seem to shoot now.

Just a thought but if you find .22 in stock you might want to pick up a couple of boxes as they can be hard to find. But the .22 is a pickle to shoot. Lots of people are rediscovering thefu of it with the way ammo prices are.

Ammo prices definitely have turned the .22 into the best bang for your buck, not that it hasn't always been so.

Honestly though, usually I would spend upwards of $300 for my AR and my 12ga for a range trip.

Now I can spend 10 times less than that.

Even still it will be a challenge. Bulk-pack .22LR is quickly becoming quite the commodity, sought after by millions of shooters nationwide. Of course, even if you drop coin on the spendy CCI stuff (which is almost always on every ammo shelf), you're still money WAY ahead. $5-$6 for 50 rounds of ammo is at least 1/2 of what you'll pay for any 50 round box of centefire ammo these days. Democrats suck.

Thats true, I guess my range trips will be dependent on whether or not Wally World has ammo in stock.

I picked my savage rifle 2 weeks ago. During my wait I bought a bulk of 4 brands plus some target to try. It took me 3 hours to go throug my bulk of winchester and 10 mins to go through 2 boxes of 40sw. Love it!!! Going once a week now

I can remember when .22 was fifty cents a box of 50. Still at $16 a brick is cheap and can shoot all day.
