10/22 Barrel: Worth It, or Not?

    Mine is in the Hogue Nylon stock (ridgid) with the standard contour channel because I have that VQ Choked barrel and the trigger has the VQ target hammer and sear ($60 back then). I think that's it besides extended mag release. Recently put a CrossfireII 3-9x50 on it... I think my favorite scope I had over the years was a fixed 6x but a cheapo that I shot till the reticle broke. I kind of want a SWFA SS fixed 6x for it. Have the SWFA fixed 10x on another .22.

        Get a gunsmither barrel block, a lot of problems with 10/22s is barrel droop and the original block pulling the barrel out of square. The gunsmither block pulls straight back, not at an angle

            I bought a Beyer light weight match bull barrel. Shoots better than I can. Good barrel with other mods worth the money.

              Since the op didnt mention his primary use, if stationary, I would agree. If hiking many hours etc, then ounces are pounds.
