And for those of you that didn't know (like myself) these mags that are on sale are for the Marlin 795, they work on bolt actions and post 1988 auto loading rifles hence the name

"Marlin Bolt POST 88 Auto 22lr 10rd Nickel Plated Mag"

    I just ordered two.

And I finally went and shot my brand new Marlin 795 on Sat, worked perfect, and I was shooting old winchester 22lr and some old mini mags as well. I do need a scope for my older eyes, I was going to go for the techsights, but scopes are cheaper and they help me see better at distance. I intend to get the cheap $28 centerpoint 4x32 scope from Walmart this week

General consensus is that these 1 piece mounts work great. I have a high profile 1 inch set for my 50MM objective scope. If you get a smaller one get the right profile and tube size for your scope

    Cool!! Jumping on this quick!

The weird thing is that the site asks for an example CCV # and then your actual CCV # (the last 3 digits of the security/verification code). The example CCV being the one that's pictured (Which makes no sense as to why they would need to do that).

According to butlers site, I think that is size 05? Its confusing because 32 isn't listed.click on the scope options :

    Umm, not quite.

The size of the objective lens itself is 32mm, but the measurement you need is the outside diameter of the housing that the objective lens sits in.

Let me put it this way... if the lens diameter is 32, but the housing is 3mm thick, then the diameter you'd need would be 38mm(since you'd have 3mm of housing on each side of the lens and the diameter is the measurement from one side to the other).

What you need to do is check the website for the manufacturer of the scope, and hopefully they list all of the dimensions you need for covers, lens caps, etc.

Mirage2123 - Most 795 owners have problem with the 3/8 mounts walking.

As much as I generally dislike UTG, that's the one mount(went through 3 sets of various rings and mounts previously) that hasn't walked backwards off the rail on my marlin.

    Just got mine today

I just ordered mine today from Turners ($109 after the MIR). Pretty cheap out the box IMHO. I'm looking at a 4x32 scope for it, probably $40 range. Does anyone know if the scopes come with mounting accessories, and if so, will it fit? I believe the mounts on the 795 are dovetail, but I don't want to have to find out I need to purchase some rings/mounts after I've waited weeks to get all the gear.

Decided to jump the gun and get one of these! Mine is out of jail on 8/1. After reading through this whole thread I'm pretty excited to take it out to Angeles and attend some Appleseeds in the near future.
