My marlin is the absolute LAST thing I'd grab for defense in my home. In a survival situation, fine the rifle is lightweight as is the ammunition, but for home defense? Hell no.

What I meant was its not gonna come out the back of a body with enough force to go through a wall.

All I have onwend combined dont add up to one of my expensive rifles by itself.
Wish you were a bit closer, I'd take one or both off your hands if you decided to sell. Any chance you would ship?

Get something bigger than a .22 for self defense please...

Back to the good ole' 795. I'll be mounting a bushnell 4x on it (again) and sighting it in with some different rings on it. I'll keep you guys updated on how these 'other' weaver rings do with it. Last time I had these on, I was trying to sight it in at 50 yards, and couldn't hit paper, because the scope was off so bad from the rings loosening up and messing up the POA, yet I didn't think about heading down to the 25yd and under range.

This time I'll be using it at a sub 25yd range to get it on paper, zeroed, then move out to 50, and I might just get it zeroed at 100 yards if I feel like it does well enough to be zeroed for that far. I have my doubts on .22 for 100 yards, but I'll find out. This should happen next Saturday, w00t!

I have killed many coyotes with a .22lr so dont underestimate its killing power either.

Trigger time. That is why I bought mine. Trigger time is trigger time, no matter if it's 50bmg, or .22.
