custom forward grip and rail attempt

I see that there is not forward grip that can be able to installed to our Marlin 795, because the 795 never came with no rails or forward mounts. So... I will attempt to customize and install a forward rail & grip to a Marlin 795 .22lr. My Ginnie pig will be the "NCstar Hand grip with attachable weaver mount rail" Kit.

Tell me if this sounds like a good idea... Yay or Nay? Or is there a swivel forward grip that can be purchased???

This will be my ideal plan...

IT WILL LOOK SOMETHING LIKE THIS....

Sometimes we like to dip our feet in sin at times. I have red dot on one of my Marlin 795 and i feel like somethings always missing. Its like have a AR with upgrade in all, and without a tact grip... idk, its just a idea i say...

btw, where do you see a quad rail for 795? I never see one before , you can get a UTG Tri-Rail Barrel Mount but not a quad rail.

I was wondering what your opinions were on this cheap scope. I mainly want to know if any of you have had problems with the scope rings shifting after firing. If you do, will this mount fix those problems?

              .
I hope you are not order from Opticsplanet, I never have luck with them, i have two different order marked "instock" on their website and ended up "onhold", after they charge my CC, the only time i have success with them is when I was placing the order through Amazon...
Barska 3-9x32 are like $40 on big5 plus you can easily get 10%-20% coupon ... good luck
btw, Barska 3-9x32 is a nice little scope if you can get it cheap, but i will buy UTG over Barska for little more money; the ring will NOT shift if you install correctly; you are shooting 22 not a 50

I'll see into the one you reccomended. If everything works out fine, i'll post up my results and pictures. I hope it turns out the way I pictured it to be.

And not a quad rail, a "Universal barrel quad rail-NCstar"

Barrel mounted rails are a horrible idea
1 they are going to mess with barrel harmonics... free float? not any more
2 Are your arms that long? I'm 6'2" and just reached my arm out to the end of the stock to where you would install that, and while doable is not comfortable at all

Hello community i introduce myself, i am Elian from Rosario - Argentina I want to share with you my experience on my first .22LR rifle, a Marlin 795 (wich i am very proud) Firts of all i beg sorry for my bad english, as you can see, this is not my natural language, so please be patience if i...

at some point this guy adds a Magpul Angled Fore Grip, using a cheap rail similar to your first idea. (see page 17 but the whole thread is worth a read)

IMO this gun isn't a m16/ar15 type of "tacticool" gun (Until someone comes out with a stock to make it that way). If you want to go tacticool on a marlin 795, make it sniper rifle style.

                      WITH SCOPE

                      WITH RED DOT

I just read the whole 21 page thread. I like this Argentina M795 threader. He's using a Magpul Angled Fore grip attached to a custom attached weaver rail mount under his stock. Idk what type of red dot he is using, BUT my red dot sight shoots great groupings (over each other). Well since he has already mounted a front weaver mount, i'll try the NCstar Quad Barrel Mount because he never said TRY, and see if it messes with the free float, i doubt it, but we'll see at the range. I'll post up pictures and results. Thanks again for the thread post input and info.

Can some one recommend some decent bag or hard case for Marlin 795 with Barska 3-9X scope? looking for cheap one.

                              thanks

Plano or Kolpin brands seem to pop up everywhere.

Big 5 has hard plastic cases on sale for under 30 bucks, from time to time.
I have a couple and they've last a long time for range trips.

That said, CMP ships their government issue Garands in foam lined cardboard boxes all across the USA!
